The 22-year-old joined CA Osasuna in the summer and has two goals in his past five matches
CA Osasuna are one of the most in-form teams in LALIGA EA SPORTS right now, having won three and drawn two of their past five games. Across these past five matchdays, only Real Madrid and Real Betis have put more points on the board than Los Rojillos, and this weekend there is a mouthwatering duel between CA Osasuna and the league leaders at El Sadar in Pamplona. There will be several stats involved in this Saturday’s match, and also a rising star in the form of Víctor Muñoz. The 22-year-old forward has been key to CA Osasuna’s recent improvement in form, scoring two goals in these past five games, including a stoppage-time winner in the 3-2 victory over Real Oviedo.
This weekend’s match will be extra special for the youngster, as he takes on his former club Real Madrid. Muñoz, who is from Barcelona, actually started his youth career with Barça and La Masia but later ended up in Real Madrid’s academy from the age of 17 onwards. He made it to Castilla, scoring 13 goals and providing seven assists in 63 appearances, and was viewed as one of the top talents in the academy.

Towards the end of last season, Muñoz made his debut for Real Madrid’s first team and in ELCLASICO no less. Introduced in the closing stages of a crucial match away at FC Barcelona, he had a good chance to equalise and to keep the title race alive but couldn’t take it. This led to intense criticism from some sections of the fanbase, but Carlo Ancelotti gave him one more outing against Sevilla FC and Xabi Alonso then brought Muñoz on as a substitute in a couple of matches at the FIFA Club World Cup.
A move to CA Osasuna and a fresh start
Ultimately, it was decided that the best move for all parties was for Muñoz to move on from Real Madrid and to have a fresh start. CA Osasuna saw a lot of potential and signed him in the summer of 2025, although Real Madrid did maintain a buy-back option.

It took a while for the new arrival to work his way into the team’s starting line-up, but once he did he stood out and he scored his first goal in LALIGA EA SPORTS in Matchday 6, in a 1-1 draw against Elche CF. Overall, he has four goals and one assist in the top flight this season, while he also netted one goal and three assists in the Copa del Rey.
As well as his numbers in terms of direct goal contributions, Muñoz has also cemented himself as one of the best dribblers in the competition. With 12 dribbles in one match against Rayo Vallecano, he set the record for the most dribbles made by one player in one match this season. Overall, he has 52 successful dribbles this league season, only surpassed by Lamine Yamal, Kylina Mbappé and Vinícius. Not bad company to be in!
His great performances this season have attracted interest from clubs across Europe. But, for now, Víctor Muñoz has one objective on his mind: to perform well and to take three points against his former club this Saturday.
