The last round of the 2025/26 LALIGA EA SPORTS season takes place this season.
Just one matchday remains in the 2025/26 LALIGA EA SPORTS season, with nine of the final fixtures taking place at the same time on Saturday. It’ll be a 21:00 CEST kick-off, with so much still to be decided around the country. In the relegation battle, five clubs could still go down. Bottom-placed Real Oviedo are already confirmed as gone, but it’s still a mystery as to who’ll finish in 18th and 19th and join the Asturians in going down to LALIGA HYPERMOTION.
RCD Mallorca, who sit 19th entering this final matchday, have the benefit of facing the already-relegated Real Oviedo, but the islanders still need to win and also hope for some favourable results from elsewhere to stay up.

Perhaps the biggest fixture of the entire matchday is the six-pointer in this relegation battle between 17th-placed Elche CF and 18th-placed Girona FC. Both sides enter that game knowing that if they win then they will be safe, so it promises to be one of the most intense duels in recent LALIGA EA SPORTS memory.
Levante UD are in great form with three victories in a row and they’ve climbed up to 15th, but they could still go down depending on the mix of results this Saturday night. They’ll be facing Real Betis away, and will hope to take three points against a club which has already qualified for the Champions League and which doesn’t have so much to play for.
Then, the other team still at risk of relegation is CA Osasuna, who are level on points with Levante UD and who also know that a victory guarantees their place in the division. They’ll be taking on Getafe CF away from home, though, and the capital city side have a lot still to play for themselves. If José Bordalás’ squad win this game, they’ll guarantee a return to European football for the first time since 2019/20.

Chasing Getafe CF for that final European spot are Rayo Vallecano, Valencia CF and RCD Espanyol. They all face opponents who have achieved their objectives and who don’t have anything really to play for, as Los Franjirrojos visit already-safe Deportivo Alavés, Los Che take on champions FC Barcelona at Mestalla, and Los Pericos host a Real Sociedad side who have already qualified for Europe via the Copa del Rey.
Also in the European battle are RC Celta, although they’ve higher up in sixth and already guaranteed a continental place no matter what happens. In their case, their home game against Sevilla FC is about which tournament they enter. Win and they’re guaranteed a Europa League spot. Draw or lose, and it might be the Conference League for the Galicians.

Also at that same 21:00 CEST kick-off time is Real Madrid vs Athletic Club. The home side know they’re finishing second and the visitors cannot make it into Europe, but this will still be a special game as it’ll be Ernesto Valverde’s last in charge of Los Leones.
Then, the final fixture comes at the same kick-off time on Sunday night. It’s Villarreal CF vs Atlético de Madrid and although both clubs have already booked their spot in the Champions League, this is essentially a playoff to see who finishes third and who finishes fourth. They’re level on points entering this one, and Villarreal CF coach Marcelino would love to keep a hold of third place in what will be his final game at the club, and the final game of the season.
