For CA Osasuna, the performance in recent weeks and this season overall has been impressive. The club sits ninth in the table on 33 points and they are very much in the European qualification conversation, just four points behind sixth-placed RC Celta.
Even though CA Osasuna have a third different coach in the past three seasons, in Lisci, this club continues to punch above its weight and compete in the upper half of LALIGA EA SPORTS. Following the conclusion of the Jagoba Arrasate era, when the legendary coach departed in the summer of 2024, many assumed that Los Rojillos might begin to struggle, yet they challenged for European football last season under Vicente Moreno, ultimately finishing ninth, and now they are once again in a similar position under Lisci.
It was something of a gamble to hire Lisci, who was just 39 when he took charge of the club last summer and whose only previous experience in Spanish football’s top tier had been relegation with Levante UD. But, the club was confident enough in its foundations, in its sporting department and in its academy at Tajonar to trust the highly rated young coach.
Everything is clicking once again in Pamplona, with this well-run club benefitting from a strong squad and a fanbase which backs the team like few others. The victory over Real Madrid was an impressive one, yet it was just one of many wins for CA Osasuna since the start of this year.
