Murdered lawyer Willy Kimani’s case concludes, judgement to be made in 60 days

The trial of 4 cops and a civilian accused of the murder of lawyer Willie Kimani, client Josephat Mwenda and taxi driver Joseph Muiruri has finally come to a close after five years and eight months.
Justice Jessie Lessit is set to give a judgement within 60 days. She says this was the longest case she has ever handled. A total of 6,114 pages, 117 exhibits, 46 prosecution witnesses’ testimonies and 34 defence witnesses’ testimonies.
Judge will consider the DNA samples tabled in court, a confession statement by the fifth accused person, CCTV footage, and mobile companies’ cell site analysis data, to make her decision.
