The FIA World Motor Sport Council in June approved a final component of the FIA World Rally Championship regulations, set to take effect from 2027. The new regulations will allow for a variety of car types, including saloons, hatchbacks, crossovers, and bespoke designs, to be eligible, giving manufacturers and constructors the freedom to scale and integrate diverse designs. This flexibility is expected to apply over the 10-year regulation cycle through to 2037 without affecting performance.
