Robert Lewandowski (FC Barcelona & Poland)

Despite his 36 years of age, the Poland international has hit the ground running in the league this season. Lewandowski has recorded four goals and one assist in four matches for the Blaugrana and he’s currently leading the scoring charts in LALIGA EA SPORTS. His national team will dispute two games in which they are set to face Scotland and Croatia away from home in the UEFA Nations League.

Kylian Mbappé (Real Madrid & France)

It took Mbappé four games to open his LALIGA EA SPORTS account with Real Madrid, but the Frenchman managed to do so in style on Sunday night. The summer signing scored a brace against Real Betis on home soil to secure Real Madrid’s second victory of the domestic season. After being eliminated in the Euro 2024 semi-finals by Spain, France are scheduled to dispute two home games in this international break, as Les Blues will face Italy and Belgium on Friday and Monday, respectively.

Dani Olmo (FC Barcelona & Spain)

Heading into this season following some extraordinary performances in the European Championship in Germany, Olmo has already left his mark for FC Barcelona. It took the Spain international just 36 minutes on his debut to net the winner in a 2-1 victory at Rayo Vallecano, with Olmo also getting his name on the scoresheet in the 7-0 thrashing of Real Valladolid at Montjuïc on Saturday. The European champions will play away at Serbia on Thursday, before travelling to Switzerland for another game on Sunday.

Óscar Mingueza (RC Celta & Spain)

Having recorded as many as five goal contributions with two goals and three assists in four games, Mingueza has been one of the standout LALIGA EA SPORTS players in this first stretch of the 2024/25 campaign. The RC Celta defender’s performances have earned him a call-up for La Roja. Mingueza previously recorded one cap for Spain, in a 4-0 friendly victory over Lithuania back in 2021, when there was a coronavirus outbreak in the squad, and now he’ll hope to add another in the Nations League. He has shown in the first month of the season that he can be solid in defence at the same time as creating danger in the final third.

Viktor Tsyhankov (Girona FC & Ukraine)

The Ukraine international has gotten off a solid start this season, having already registered one goal and an assist in three league games for Girona FC. After celebrating a big 2-0 win away at Sevilla FC on Sunday, Tsyhankov will join up with his teammates at the national team for games against Albania and Czechia on Saturday and Tuesday, respectively.

Abdel Abqar (Deportivo Alavés & Morocco)

Following a 2-1 loss in Vigo back in Matchday 1, Deportivo Alavés have bounced back and picked up seven points in the last three games. Los Blanquiazules grabbed a 2-1 victory away at Real Sociedad and kept clean sheets against Real Betis and UD Las Palmas, with Abqar being solid at the back in all four games. The Morocco international has joined up with his national team colleagues for their upcoming Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Gabon and Lesotho. Having played in just one friendly duel, Abqar has yet to make his official Morocco debut. Given his recent league displays, that first competitive outing might come this international break.

Julián Alvarez (Atlético de Madrid & Argentina)

The Argentina international has yet to open his LALIGA EA SPORTS account with his new team, Atlético de Madrid, but this international break is a first-class opportunity to connect again with the back of the net and get a boost of confidence that will help him adapt quicker to his new surrounding at the Estadio Cívitas Metropolitano. Argentina boss Lionel Scaloni has called up the 24-year-old forward, who is expected to feature in his team’s two 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Chile (away) and Colombia (home).

Fede Valverde (Real Madrid & Uruguay)

Having been assigned with the difficult task of filling the void of Toni Kroos in the Real Madrid midfield this season, Valverde has been one of the team’s finest performers so far. After recording one assist and a goal in four league games for Los Blancos, the Uruguay international will also travel to South America, where his national team will host Paraguay before playing away at Venezuela in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

Lamine Yamal (FC Barcelona & Spain)

After taking the Euros by storm, the FC Barcelona academy product has also gotten off to a strong start in the league. Lamine Yamal, who was named Euro 2024 Young Player of the Tournament, has bagged one goal and four assists – the most in the league – in four games. Despite being just 17 years of age, he has already become a star player at both the European champions and the LALIGA EA SPORTS leaders.

Brahim Díaz (Real Madrid & Morocco)

Having debuted with Morocco back in March, Brahim Díaz is already considered an undisputed starter for the national team. Since then, the talented forward has played 342 minutes across four games with Morocco, in which he recorded two assists. Coming off the bench in all four league games so far, he has delivered one goal and an assist for Real Madrid – both of which came in the 21 minutes he disputed in Los Blancos’ 3-0 win over Real Valladolid in Matchday 2.
