While fans are counting down the days to see their idols back in action, some new faces will be introduced to the top flight after shining with their performances in the second division last term. Here’s a look at five players who stood out in LALIGA HYPERMOTION and are set to feature in Spain’s top division next season.

Andrés Martín – Real Racing Club

One of the most, if not the most, impressive wingers featuring in LALIGA HYPERMOTION over the last two years, Martín took the league by storm, helping his team claim the championship after a fantastic 2025/26 term. No player managed more goal contributions than the 26-year-old Real Racing Club star, who ended the campaign with 23 goals and nine assists after recording 16 goals and 17 assists a year earlier. Following a three-season stint at Córdoba CF, Martín moved to Rayo Vallecano, with whom he achieved promotion to the top tier back before making his LALIGA EA SPORTS debut in August 2021. Real Racing Club made his loan move from Rayo Vallecano permanent in 2024, with Martín announcing himself with a string of eye-catching outings in the second division.

Chupete – Málaga CF

Few LALIGA HYPERMOTION players can claim to have had more impact than Carlos Ruiz Rubio, known as Chupete, last season. The 21-year-old striker was influential throughout the closing stretch, bagging eight goals and two assists in Málaga CF’s last six games of the regular season and inspiring his team to fourth-spot finish. Chupete also stepped up when it mattered most by opening the scoring in the second leg of the finals against UD Almería before setting up David Larrubia for their team’s second. Having joined Los Boquerones’ academy in 2021, he climbed up the ranks before becoming an undisputed starter. Juan Funes’ confidence in his player paid dividends, with Chupete ending last term on as many as 25 goals and six assists.

Yeremay Hernández – RC Deportivo

Depor are set to return to LALIGA EA SPORTS after an eight-year absence and Yeremay was instrumental in securing the team’s promotion to the top flight. Born in Las Palmas, the talented forward joined Real Madrid’s famous La Fábrica academy in 2015, before moving to Galicia for RC Deportivo in 2017. Aged 23, he pulled off an extraordinary campaign for Los Blanquiazules, recording double figures in both scoring (11) and assists (10), including a goal and three assists in his last six appearances to help Depor secure second spot in the table.

Iñigo Vicente – Real Racing Club

LALIGA HYPERMOTION’s assist king, Vicente ended the 2025/26 campaign with a league-high 20 assists to go with his nine goals. Operating on the opposite flank to Martín in Real Racing Club’s attack, the 28-year-old winger played a crucial part in the club’s promotion campaign. Vicente took his first footballing steps at Athletic Club’s Lezama academy before joining Real Racing Club in 2022. He had already made his LALIGA EA SPORTS debut with Los Leones two years earlier, but this time he is expected to return to the top flight as an undisputed starter and a difference-maker for a team that bagged a league-high 90 goals in the second division last term.

David Larrubia – Málaga CF

His story is the stuff of fairy tales, the kind every footballer dreams of. Born and raised in Málaga’s La Luz neighbourhood, Larrubia joined the team’s academy at the age of 12 and served as a ball boy while his idols were plying their trade at the Estadio La Rosaleda. He climbed up the ranks at Málaga CF before making his official debut in 2020 at the age of 18. His performances earned him a call-up to represent Spain’s youth teams, participating in the 2019 FIFA U-17 World Cup that took place in Brazil. An undisputed starter for Los Boquerones over the last three seasons, he came to the fore in the playoffs by scoring the winner in the first leg of the semi-finals away at UD Las Palmas before netting Málaga CF’s second to practically seal promotion on Saturday. Now he is set to fulfil a lifelong dream by representing his boyhood club in LALIGA EA SPORTS.
