Kenya’s 3×3 basketball teams gear up for African Beach Games in Hammamet, Tunisia

Kenya’s male and female 3×3 basketball teams are set to make their mark at the second edition of the African Beach Games, to be held in Hammamet, Tunisia, from June 24th, 2023.

This marks a debut for Kenya  in the championships in this fairly new version of the game as the team aims to showcase the country’s rising basketball prowess on an international stage.

The Kenyan 3×3 basketball teams have been diligently preparing for the African Beach Games, eager to make a podium finish in their maiden appearance. The male and female teams have been honing their skills, refining their strategies, and building their synergy to compete against strong opponents from across the continent.

In particular, the women’s team draws upon the experience of players like Madina Okot, who played a pivotal role in Kenya’s impressive journey to the quarterfinals at the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games. Okot’s leadership and on-court prowess will undoubtedly inspire her teammates and contribute to the team’s performance in Hammamet.

The African Beach Games provide an excellent platform for Kenya’s 3×3 basketball teams to showcase their talents, athleticism, and competitive spirit. The teams are eager to embrace the challenge and represent Kenya with pride, embodying the nation’s sportsmanship and determination.

The men’s team is in Pool A alongside neighbors Uganda,Rwanda and the Northerners Egypt while the ladies will be up against Rwanda, Algeria and hosts Tunisia in pool B.
