New Light Schools’ bus conductor arraigned in court for allegedly defiling a 3-year old student while dropping her home

A school bus conductor for New Light Schools was on Tuesday arraigned in court for allegedly defiling a three-year old student while dropping her home after school.

Alfred Otiende appeared before Makadara Senior Principal Magistrate Mary Njagi during the hearing of his case where he is accused of committing the offence on April 11, 2023.

The minor, who is three years and five months old, was a student at the New Light School Play Group class in Kayole. Tests results from the hospital on the same day of the incident confirmed that the minor had been sexually assaulted.

Police at the Soweto Police Station then paraded a number of suspects and the minor positively identified. Otiende who has worked at the school for several years. The case is continuing in court.
