Veteran journalist and author Nganga Mbugua was today unveiled as the new Managing Editor for People Daily, to replace departing Eric Obino who is venturing into politics.
Mediamax Network Limited Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Ken Ngaruiya introduced the new ME in charge of the Daily print newspaper, to the People Daily staffers in a brief introductory meeting that lasted 10 minutes.
Mbugua who until his new job was a Deputy Editor at Standard Newspaper, will oversee the operations of the fast growing newspaper that is distributed free to the market.
Obino who has been at the helm since early 2019 when he replaced Peter Opondo, will be seeking to be the Member of Parliament for Nyaribari Chache Constituency in Kisii on a Kanu ticket.
