Real Racing Club (1st, 69 points)
Real Racing Club have consistently been inside the automatic promotion places throughout the 2025/26 campaign. In fact, the club from Santander have been either first or second at the end of every round since Matchday 9, back in October. There is still work to be done if they’re to return to Spain’s top tier for the first time since 2011/12, but the dream is within reach.
Remaining fixtures: SD Huesca (H), CD Leganés (A), Real Valladolid (H), Málaga CF (A), Cádiz CF (H)

UD Almería (2nd, 67 points)
Over the past few weeks, UD Almería have been steadily climbing up the table and mounting a serious promotion push. The Andalusian outfit have won three of their past four, only losing a top-of-the-table clash with Real Racing Club. In Sergio Arribas, they have the division’s top scorer in their ranks, as he has 24 goals, so Los Almeriensistas will hope he can lead them back to the promised land.
Remaining fixtures: CD Mirandés (H), Burgos CF (A), UD Las Palmas (H), Real Sporting (A), Real Valladolid (H)
RC Deportivo (3rd, 65 points)
As one of Spanish football’s most historic clubs, RC Deportivo fans are desperate to return to the top flight, where they haven’t featured since the 2017/18 campaign. They have never been below eighth in the standings throughout this 2025/26 campaign, and are unbeaten in their past eight, so things are looking good. Across the final five fixtures, they’ll hope to climb up to the automatic promotion spots.
Remaining fixtures: CD Leganés (H), Cádiz CF (A), FC Andorra (H), Real Valladolid (A), UD Las Palmas (H)
CD Castellón (4th, 64 points)
CD Castellón are suddenly in super form, with four victories from their past five matches. With several fixtures against mid-table or relegation-battling sides remaining, they’ll hope to keep this good run of form going. The club from the east coast have been in Spain’s top division before, last reaching that level in 1990/91, and the club’s new ownership would love to return the team to LALIGA EA SPORTS.
Remaining fixtures: Córdoba CF (H), AD Ceuta (A), Cádiz CF (H), SD Huesca (A), SD Eibar (H)
UD Las Palmas (5th, 63 points)
UD Las Palmas have been quite consistent throughout this LALIGA HYPERMOTION season, however they have drawn a lot of matches. No other team has more draws than their 12, and the islanders know that they need victories rather than draws if they’re to challenge for the automatic promotion spots by the end of the regular season. A final day trip to take on RC Deportivo could end up being crucial to their chances.
Remaining fixtures: Real Valladolid (H), FC Andorra (A), UD Almería (A), Real Zaragoza (H), RC Deportivo (A)
Burgos CF (6th, 61 points)
Burgos CF have spent the entire season inside the top half of the LALIGA HYPERMOTION table. Chasing a first top-flight appearance since 1979/80, Los Blanquinegros have one of the best defences in the division, with just 33 goals conceded in 37 matches. Their problem is in attack, as their 44 goals scored is among the lowest tallies in the entire division. They’ll need more goals for the season run-in.
Remaining fixtures: Real Sociedad B (A), UD Almería (H), Granada CF (A), Cultural Leonesa (A), FC Andorra (H)

SD Eibar (7th, 61 points)
Just a few months ago, SD Eibar were inside the LALIGA HYPERMOTION relegation zone, but they’ve suddenly put together an incredible run of form under Beñat San José. Undefeated since February, the Basque side have won nine and drawn two of their past 11 matches, boasting the best record in the entire division in that time. It might be too little too late, but there are still five matchdays remaining for SD Eibar to keep climbing the table.
Remaining fixtures: Málaga CF (H), CD Mirandés (A), Cultural Leonesa (A), Córdoba CF (H), CD Castellón (A)
Málaga CF (8th, 60 points)
Málaga CF have been steadily climbing up the table during the second half of the season, in their mission to return to the top flight for the first time since 2017/18. Two defeats in their past two matches have set them back a little, especially because they were against fellow promotion contenders in UD Almería and CD Castellón. There is still time, though, for the Andalusian outfit to make it into the promotion playoff spots.
Remaining fixtures: SD Eibar (A), Real Sporting (H), AD Ceuta (A), Racing Club (H), Real Zaragoza (A)
