The Anti-Corruption Court has allowed the DPP’s request to withdraw Ksh 7.3 billion graft charges against Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua and nine his co-accused.
Magistrate Victor Wakumile has, however, warned the accused persons that they may be rearrested in future over the same charges should investigators find evidence.
The court has also recommends enactment of law to establish office of a pre-trial judge to be checking on whether there is sufficient evidence before any accused person is arraigned on court.
