Real Racing Club (1st, 72 points)
Real Racing Club have consistently been inside the automatic promotion places throughout the 2025/26 campaign. In fact, the club from Santander have been either first or second at the end of every round since Matchday 9, back in October. There is still work to be done if they’re to return to Spain’s top tier for the first time since 2011/12, but the dream is within reach.

UD Almería (2nd, 70 points)
Over the past few weeks, UD Almería have been steadily climbing up the table and mounting a serious promotion push. The Andalusian outfit have won four of their past five, only losing a top-of-the-table clash with Real Racing Club. In Sergio Arribas, they have the division’s top scorer in their ranks, as he has 24 goals, so Los Almeriensistas will hope he can lead them back to the promised land.

RC Deportivo (3rd, 68 points)
As one of Spanish football’s most historic clubs, RC Deportivo fans are desperate to return to the top flight, where they haven’t featured since the 2017/18 campaign. They have never been below eighth in the standings throughout this 2025/26 campaign, and are unbeaten in their past nine, so things are looking good. Across the final four fixtures, they’ll hope to climb up to the automatic promotion spots.

UD Las Palmas (4th, 66 points)
UD Las Palmas have been quite consistent throughout this LALIGA HYPERMOTION season, however they have drawn a lot of matches. No other team has more draws than their 12, and the islanders know that they need victories rather than draws if they’re to challenge for the automatic promotion spots by the end of the regular season. A final day trip to take on RC Deportivo could end up being crucial to their chances.

CD Castellón (5th, 64 points)
CD Castellón are in decent form, with four victories from their past six matches, although they lost their last game. The club from the east coast have been in Spain’s top division before, last reaching that level in 1990/91, and the club’s new ownership would love to return the team to LALIGA EA SPORTS.

Málaga CF (6th, 63 points)
Málaga CF have been steadily climbing up the table during the second half of the season, in their mission to return to the top flight for the first time since 2017/18. A 4-2 victory away at SD Eibar in Matchday 38 has pushed them even higher, and into the promotion playoff spots.

Burgos CF (7th, 62 points)
Burgos CF have spent the entire season inside the top half of the LALIGA HYPERMOTION table. Chasing a first top-flight appearance since 1979/80, Los Blanquinegros have one of the best defences in the division, with just 33 goals conceded in 38 matches. Their problem is in attack, as their 44 goals scored is among the lowest tallies in the entire division. They’ll need more goals for the season run-in.

SD Eibar (8th, 61 points)
Just a few months ago, SD Eibar were inside the LALIGA HYPERMOTION relegation zone, but they suddenly put together an incredible run of form under Beñat San José. They did lose their most recent game, to promotion rivals Málaga CF, but it’s still a record of nine wins from their past 12 matches. It might be too little too late, but there are still four matchdays remaining for SD Eibar to keep climbing the table.
