Tusker fc strengthens squad as title race heats up

Defending FKF Premier League champions Tusker FC have announced the signing of two new players in the current mid-season transfer window in an effort to boost the club’s competitiveness as the club aims for a successful season.

The club has sought to strengthen its defense and attack departments with the signing of forward Michael Oduor from KCB FC and left-back Joseph Odhiambo who joins from Mathare FC.

Michael Oduor is a seasoned forward who brings with him vast experience having also played for Sofapaka, Wazito FC, and Kariobangi Sharks. Born on January 9, 1996, Oduor is expected to add depth and creativity to Tusker FC’s attacking line-up.

Joseph Odhiambo, on the other hand, is a young left-back with immense potential. Born on August 18, 2002, Odhiambo has previously played for Kayole Youth FC, Naivas FC, Wazito FC, and Mathare United. He is expected to bolster Tusker FC’s defense and provide more options going forward.

 Tusker FC Manager Robert Matano expressed his excitement about the new signings, stating: “Michael and Joseph are both talented players who bring unique skills and experience to our team. We are confident that their addition to our squad will help us achieve our goal of retaining the FKF Premier League title this season. We welcome them to the Tusker FC family and look forward to seeing them in action.”

Michael Oduor expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to play for Tusker FC, saying: “I am excited to join such a great club with a rich history of success. I look forward to contributing to the team’s efforts to win trophies including the FKF Premier League title this season.”

On his part, Joseph Levin Odhiambo said: “It is an honor to join Tusker FC, and I am eager to work hard and learn from the experienced players and coaching staff. I am determined to help the team achieve its goals this season and in the future.”

With the addition of Michael Oduor and Joseph Levin Odhiambo, Tusker FC is poised to continue its strong performance this season and compete for the FKF Premier League title as well as the FKF Cup.

The team currently sits third in the FKF Premier League table with 36 points having played 19 games. Gor Mahia and KCB FC occupy the first and second positions with 42 and 37 points both having played 20 matches.

Tusker FC’s next assignment is against thirteenth-placed Bidco FC tomorrow at Ruaraka Grounds in Nairobi.
