The 2024/25 campaign features 17 clubs who have previously played in LALIGA EA SPORTS, some of whom have won league championships or enjoyed cup wins in the Copa del Rey, Spanish Super Cup or even in European football. Furthermore, 23 of the LALIGA HYPERMOTION championships in history were won by sides competing in the division this year.
This edition brings together clubs of the stature of RC Deportivo, Real Zaragoza, Málaga CF, Real Racing Club, Real Sporting and Real Oviedo, among others, as well as the newly relegated UD Almería, Cádiz CF and Granada CF. In this season’s LALIGA HYPERMOTION there are several teams that feel like they belong in LALIGA EA SPORTS. In fact, several of them rank highly if looking at the all-time league table in Spain. Real Zaragoza rank 10th, RC Deportivo 12th, Real Racing Club 15th, Real Sporting 17th and Real Oviedo 19th. In other words, they are all among the 20 most successful clubs in the history of Spanish football.
Teams like Málaga CF, Levante UD, Cádiz CF or Elche CF are very close to the top 20, so we truly are in for an exciting battle between great clubs. More than 300,000 season ticket holders in LALIGA HYPERMOTION
The loyalty of the LALIGA HYPERMOTION fans is also impressive. More than 300,000 people have purchased a season ticket for one of these clubs this season, aware that the passion of this competition is unmissable. There were great atmospheres throughout last season too, at stadiums such as La Romareda, El Molinón or El Sardinero, and more noise is expected this coming campaign.
The two clubs with the most season ticket holders this season are RC Deportivo and Málaga CF, with more than 26,000. That’s all the more impressive considering they have just been promoted back into the division. The third team with the most season ticket holders is Real Zaragoza, with more than 24,000 loyal fans despite having been away from LALIGA EA SPORTS for 13 years. They would surely have had even more season ticket holders, had it not been for the fact that La Romareda is being renovated and the Gol Sur section demolished. As such, this year they will have less capacity, so they can’t repeat the more than 28,000 season ticket holders of last season.
As for the teams who are new in the division, they too have many fans along for the ride. Cádiz CF, Granada CF and UD Almería each have around 15,000 season ticket holders, figures very similar to those they obtained in the top flight last season. CD Castellón and Córdoba CF, the other newly promoted clubs, also have around 11,000 season ticket holders for next season. While CD Eldense, CD Mirandés and SD Huesca are the teams with the least number of season ticket holders, it’s worth keeping in mind they are from smaller towns, but towns that fully back their club.
