n 25/05/2024 Meridianbet proudly participated in a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) event, supporting a noble cause that aims to transform the lives of young mothers in the community. We partnered with AFRICAN WOMAN GLOBAL NETWORK an organization dedicated to sponsoring young girls who have become mothers, helping them return to school and build better futures for themselves and their children. Our contributions included water tanks, scholarships, and medical supplies for Olive Care, a convenient hospital that caters to their needs.
A Day of Empowerment and Hope
The event took place at MUKURU VIWANDANI a community where these young mothers have faced numerous challenges. Despite the tough circumstances of being raised in the ghetto, these resilient young women have shown remarkable determination to improve their lives and the lives of their children. The day was filled with various activities designed to support, inspire, and celebrate these young mothers.
Meridianbetdonations aimed to address immediate needs and provide long-term support:
- WATER TANKS: Ensuring access to clean water is crucial for maintaining good health and hygiene.
- SCHOLARSHIPS: Providing educational opportunities to help these young mothers complete their schooling.
- MEDICAL SUPPLIES: Supporting Olive Care Hospital in offering better healthcare services to the community.
The day was not only about donations but also about building connections and understanding the community’s needs. We organized a series of activities to engage with the young mothers and the community at large:
Capturing moments of joy and solidarity to highlight the importance of the event. Sharing a meal provided an opportunity for informal conversations and bonding. An interactive session where the young mothers shared their stories, challenges, and aspirations. This was an invaluable experience for understanding their needs and how we can better support them.
We were honored to have guests from the Betting Control and Licensing Board (BCLB) join us. Their presence underscored the importance of collaborative efforts in supporting community development initiatives.
The event was a powerful reminder of the impact that dedicated support and resources can have on transforming lives. By partnering with AWGN we have taken significant steps towards empowering young mothers to pursue education and improve their living conditions.
