RC Celta (6th, 51 points)
After tasting European football this season, RC Celta have already guaranteed a return to the continent in 2026/27. They’ll definitely finish sixth or seventh, but there is still a lot to play for as sixth place would mean Europea League qualification, while seventh would be the Conference League. Coach Claudio Giráldez has explicitly stated that the goal is Europa League qualification, which RC Celta will aim to clinch at home this weekend.

Getafe CF (7th, 48 points)
José Bordalás has already led Getafe CF to Europe once before, when the team reached the Round of 16 in 2019/20, and Los Azulones are looking to qualify for another UEFA competition this year. Despite a difficult start to the campaign, the winter signings made by the club have worked out brilliantly and Getafe CF have one of the best records of all LALIGA EA SPORTS sides across the second half of this season. If they hold on to a top seven spot for one more matchday, they’ll make a return to Europe.

Rayo Vallecano (8th, 47 points)
Rayo Vallecano are focusing right now on the current European season, as they’ll play Crystal Palace in the final of this season’s Conference League in Leipzig. But, there is also a chance for the capital city club to return to continental competition for a second season in a row, regardless of what happens in that final. Against a Deportivo Alavés side that is already safe, they could add three more points to their cause this weekend and then hope that Getafe CF slip up.

Valencia CF (9th, 46 points)
There was a moment in Matchday 37 when Valencia CF were losing to Real Sociedad and had gone down to 10 men, and at that point Los Che were more concerned about relegation than about qualifying for Europe. But, two late goals earned them a dramatic 4-3 win and now they still have a chance of European qualification, although they’ll need to beat champions FC Barcelona to have a shot.

Real Sociedad (10th, 45 points)
By winning the Copa del Rey, Real Sociedad have already secured a Europa League ticket. They had hoped to turn that in for a Champions League berth, but that’s no longer possible. No matter where La Real finish, they’ll be in the Europa League, and there will be two other tickets available for the other participants in this European race.

A bright start to the season had RCD Espanyol fans dreaming of European qualification, but a terrible few months at the beginning of 2026 dropped them down into the relegation battle.
