Majority of Kenyans feel that the country is headed the wrong way

Majority of Kenyans feel that the country is heading to the wrong direction according to an opinion poll conducted by research firm Tifa.

According to the poll, 48 per cent of Kenyans feel that the direction the country is wrong because high costs of living, wrong national leadership, corruption, drought and unemployment.

Fuel and electricity prices as well as the prices of basic commodities have gone up since the August 9, 2022 General election.

However, 37 per cent of the sample believe that the country is headed the right direction with improved relations with development partners, creation of employment and stabilized economy under the Kenya Kwanza leadership. From the sample, 12 per cent believe the direction the country is taking is neither right nor wrong, while three per cent don’t know.
