Missing IEBC Embakasi RO body positively identified in Loitoktok.

The body that was discovered on Monday night at the Kilobero forest near Mt Kilimanjaro in Loitoktok Kajiado South has been identified as that of missing IEBC Empakasi East returning officer Daniel Musyoka.

In a police report booked on 15/08/2022 at Loitoktok police station, the body is reported to have been identified by his sisters Mary Mwikali and Ann Mboya.

Musyoka, 53, went missing misteriously from the Empakasi tallying Centre at the East Africa School of Aviation in Nairobi before being reported missing at Empakasi police station OB 24/11/08/2022 and public notified by IEBC chairman Wafula Chebukati.

According to Loitoktok subcounty police commander Kipruto Ruto, herdsmen who were grazing cattle along the Kilobero Valley reported to have come across a body dumped.

He says police went to the scene and found a body of an unidentified middle aged man which was moved to Loitoktok Subcounty hospital Mortury and the process of identification began.

“This is a matter of national interest and we are waiting for further communications from our seniors in Nairobi to know if the matter will be handled at this level or it will be moved to Nairobi. We have secured the scene and investigations into the incident commenced as a matter of urgency, “confirmed Kipruto.

The body was stuck naked, a Maasai Shuka and a track suit was a few meters from the body.

There were no identification documents found at the scene but speculation that the body could be Musyoka went round like bush fire prompting his family to visit the Loitoktok subcounty hospital Mortury to identify the body.
